2011-Dream Bigger

Between a great girlfriend, a worship leading job, learning more about horticulture, doing a music tour and getting to play with Switchfoot, David Crowder Band, War of Ages and more, traveling the country working for a political client, and being accepted to school, 2010 was a great year.

I’ve never tracked my New Year’s Goals/Resolutions to see if I accomplished them, so I’m going to take a more aggressive stance on staying accountable with my goals.

My goals for 2011:

1. Read at least 10 books (not for school) that I’ve never read before.

2. Memorize a book of the Bible.

3. Take more photos (and share them with others).

4. Learn 10 challenging songs on guitar and play them all the way through.

5. Learn more about & encourage my girlfriend’s dreams.

6. Finish a semester with at least a B average.

7. Go to an NFL game.

8. Drink more water.

9. Run a 9 minute mile.

10. Build a working “Hello World” iPhone app.

11. Invest more/save.

12. Find a church to call home for a while.

13. Be able to cook a new meal.
14. Grow a big beard by not shaving for the entire year.

15. Learn the Philadelphia SEPTA train/bus system better.

So pretty basic, nothing to outlandish but nonetheless things that will be challenges for me. Enjoy.

**Update: See how I did in 2011 with my New Year’s Goals!

Cornerstone Festival: Fug Fork River Band

Man, these guys. The Tug Fork River Band. What can I say about these guys? They’re entertaining, loud, and awesome! They were one of the most unique bands at Cornerstone Festival.

Cornerstone Festival: War of Ages

At Cornerstone there were a plethora of great bands. Switchfoot, The Showdown, and more. My absolute favorite and to this day (I’ve seen them 3 times) I think this is their best show ever, War of Ages took the cake! The bassist for The Showdown was actually running sound for them and they played at the HM Magazine stage on Facedown Records Day. They killed it! I love these guys and can’t say enough about their character. I have Leroy (the lead singer)’s phone number and were friends on Facebook. He’s nothing but nice. Can’t wait to photograph War of Ages again!
