Behind The Scenes at Creation Festival: Day 3

2012 has been an amazing year so far. Between getting my first commercial timelapse gig, expanding into church photography, and shooting a few more weddings it's been great. Specifically I've loved the opportunities clients have given me to create truly unique images, rather than just wanting the run of the mill stuff.

Creation Festival is no different. They contacted me a few months back and after lots of paper work, emails, and conference calls we finally worked it out where I would be shooting 3 festivals. I'm currently flying to the 2nd of the 3 festivals (Sonshine Festival), but the first one is Creation East.

My goal at each festival isn't just to photograph the artists when they perform, but to showcase the special moments to be had at each festival, from every angle. Wednesday is the day when the music plays! Wednesday was a fun and stressful day but it's all in good fun for the sake of kicking off Creation Festival right!

For me the day was more intimate and unique festival shots, as well as some promotional material that will be used later in the year. In this batch there's my good friend Joe Zimmerman who's a monster in the pit, my new friend Jen Neily (Who will actually be with me at Sonshine Festival and Creation West shooting for Shirt4Life!), a few cute moments of friends and festival goers, as well as my friends Bill Darpino and Ben Walton (Stage Manager of Creation) with their 16-35mm faces...
